About our condo …

This charming one-bedroom condo is located in Caballeros Estates, a well-established, secure community. The Estate is not a big one and the people are welcoming and friendly.

No 211 is an upstairs end unit with a great deal of natural light inside. There is no unit above, so it enjoys a high, sloping ceiling, giving an unusual sense of space for a one-bedroom apartment. It also has a remarkably large patio looking down over the attractive gardens with an avenue of mature palms. A private staircase leads directly from the patio to the heated pools (one saltwater) and the poolside entertaining areas. When not outside enjoying a starry night on the patio, you can snuggle up by the gas fire with a cocktail from the condo's wet bar. A Sony 42" flat-screen TV was installed in the living room last year.

We have been staying in the condo for two months and have made more improvements: there's a NEW oven range with a ceramic hotplate, and a NEW dishwasher. We've added more equipment such as a salad spinner, a stand fan, and more equipment of all sorts. We've replaced the ceiling fan in the living room (we didn't like the look of the old one), and added a bookcase which we've filled with books. I've also left careful instructions on how to use everything — it can be frustrating not to know how something should be operated. Some are small changes, but I hope they make a difference to your comfort and convenience.

The Estate is one of the best-positioned in all of Palm Springs, within easy walking distance of the shops, galleries, and restaurants of Palm Canyon Drive and the most historic heart of old Palm Springs. (See the Palm Springs page.)

The condo is only a mile and a half (a very short cab ride) from the airport, though not under the flight path. A covered parking place comes with the unit, but it is not really necessary to have a car — everything is so easily accessible on foot or by bicycle, and with four swimming pools (one salt water) and jacuzzis in the complex's beautiful grounds, one hardly has to leave.
